Need help with Static Electricity

Hi, im gonna build a computer but i dont have a antistatic wrist strap, some people tell me to just touch the case a few times while im building and another friend told the i can just touch the water tap thing, does that work?

Just touch the case before every new insertion or handling of parts and try to avoid holding the parts on their electronic parts/contacts.

You can touch anything that is metal/conductive. Case is the easiest thing, however make sure you're actually touching a metal part because the exterior is sometimes plastic on cheaper cases.

The idea is to just release any electricity you have built up from moving around, and the majority of the time metal will be most commonly found and the most conductive material in your home.

Yes you basically just have to touch something that conducts electricity, and anything metal will do that. so just touch the metal part of the case or something.
