So im close to buying my new PC but the local PC seller and technitian said that the stock cooler with the FX-6300 woldn be able to keep up with the CPU so he suggested me to buy a extra aftermarket cooler.I think it was some kind of arktic cooler but i dont remmeber and the point is that i wont overclock it and if i even wanted to i wold buy a new heatsinck in the future.

So if any of you that dont or mainly have that kind of CPU please tell me what you think or if youve had a problem with it!

Sorry for the bad english and thanks!

This CPU has a turbo mode. It will OC itself on the fly when it needs by as much as 20% from what I can tell. Under heavy load, I could see why he would suggest this to you. I do not own one. I can say that I am not a fan of any stock cooler.

I don't have an answer but I am interested in what people might say. I've heard that the FX stock coolers can be a bit noisy, so getting an aftermarket cooler makes sense from that point of view, but it's hard to imagine that the CPU stock cooler would be insufficient, maybe a bit noisy, but surely it would be adequate?
