Need help with this pc

Solution
First, what do you want to run at med-high settings? Second at what framerate (30 FPS, 60 FPS, 120 FPS, ?)

Third, I'm sorry but that PC is low-end/ entry level gaming from at least two years ago. It's already due to have a CPU, CPU Cooler, Motherboard, Ram, Video card, and PSU upgrade. If you can, return that computer and get your money back.

That machine seems quite out dated

This is a lot better and for a similar price, or if you spend a bit more you can get a lot more stuff

I want to run some of the modern games such as playerunkown battle grounds and shooters such as over watch. The frames I would like would be 60. The resolution i want is 720p. Just to play games and if I get a second monitor watch some YouTube along side. Thanks for the help :)

PUBG is quite an intensive game, would need better specs im afraid, I have a GTX 1070 and I get 80 fps on max

Will I just need a new graphics card.

No PUBG is very CPU intensive. You would need a new CPU and more RAM would be advisable.

Unfortunately your motherboard would need to be upgraded also as the best CPU you can get that is compatible with it will likely not get you much better performance according to this old Tom's Hardware thread from 2014 when your CPU was newer : http://www.tomshardware.com/answers/id-2455424/amd-am3-cpu.html

Sorry mate but demanding games are going to be out of reach with that machine, upgrade or not.

There are plenty of really fun games that PC can run... maybe with a slightly better GPU but they would not be AAA games and they wouldn't be recent.

Any recommendations on new CPU and mother board that is not to expensive also ram

What is the approximate amount in which currency of not too expensive? Keep in mind you will still also need a GPU - that computer really does need to be upgraded completely to play really demanding games like PUBG. So just as an idea you are likely looking at 100 - 150$ US (on a sale/good deal/lightly used/open box type thing) for a new mid-range GPU.

yes i was planning on buying
ZOTAC GeForce GTX 1050 for this pc but not sure what type of motherboard is good or CPU, i am willing to spend up to $190 on the motherboard and CPU. Dont know to much about it.

I don't know if a 1050 is going to be enough... I wouldn't go any lower than 1060 if you want to eventually go dual monitor or play at 1080p.

I think you are about 200$ short on an upgrade for your CPU and motherboard - and RAM. You will likely be going to a DDR4 system (no use in buying a CPU and motherboard with DDR3 RAM if you are upgrading).

190$ US would get you a "sideways" move to a used Intel setup (if you could find one) that would be better in a couple ways and worse in a couple ways... no real benefit.

Sorry mate, PC gaming is expensive to play at or near console levels of graphics/performance.

Have you considered getting an Xbox One or waiting for the new "Xbox One S" or whatever they are calling it? PUBG is going to be available on that platform soon and overall that console system would probably suit your needs better.

I own a PS4 and was thinks on going to the pc gaming to can you give what you would recommend parts I should buy and I plan to save up for all the parts if I need to buy better things I can save up for the better. thanks for helping me

Your best bet is to decide on a budget that you think you will be able to save up for and save up for it. Wait until have the money and then start a thread asking for build advice/help/suggestions for a PC that will meet or be as close to your needs as possible and be within your budget.

The reason I say wait until you have the money is because the hardware is advancing all the time and the price/performance tier ratio stays roughly the same. Since you need to build a new system, why not get the most for your money and get the newest hardware available at the time?

For now if you just want ideas of what you could get in today's tech for the money you will be able to save, just decide on the amount and start a new thread asking for build suggestions for a PC to play PUBG.

Here is the sticky (forum rule) about how to post a build advice thread: http://www.tomshardware.com/forum/id-2946386/build-upgrade-advice.html

Alright thanks for the help man.
