Hey guys, completely new user here, looking for some help. So i got a Dell Inspiron 660s years ago(as a birthday present) and im finally just now looking to upgrade it as i've recently reached a reasonable amount of money to buy parts with. I've swapped out the entire thing to a new case, got a better power supply, and installed a Gigabyte Radeon HD 7770 Rev 2.0. I did all of this years ago(relatively soon after getting the computer) with the help of a friend. I'm looking to upgrade relatively all of my parts, excluding the motherboard and hard-drive. I have all my parts picked out, and know that my cpu has a LGA 1155 socket type, which matches my motherboard. However, i'm not sure if my motherboard supports the cpu chipset-wise. I will post my part list now, using CPU-Z to tell me everything i need to know about the motherboard, everything else is what I plan on getting:
Motherboard-0478VN/Dell Vostro 270
Processor-Intel Core i7-2700K
Graphics Card- Either the EVGA GeForce GTX 1070 or the 1060(100$ difference)
RAM-Crucial Ballistix Sport 16gb(8GBx2) DDR3
I found a list here-http://ark.intel.com/products/64030#@compatibility
And i cannot find the 2700k on there, does that mean im boned in terms of upgrading to that? If so, what would you recommend me upgrading to, or should i just get a new motherboard and instead of upgrading just build a new pc all together? Thanks to anybody who reads and/or helps.

Solution
looking at dell specifications given (as little they do) this being confirmed by the B75 chipset of the motherboard that according o this list only supports the 2nd and 3rd generation Intel though supporting the 2600/2600K it seems it doesn not support 2700/2700K cpu;s series so you shoudl be looking for a cpu fitting your motherboard abilities (listed below) or if you are getting the 2700K look at this motherboard list for a compatible one
