Need help with upgrading my pc. CPU or GPU or both?

Athlon X4 860k OC'd to 4.1ghz
Asus GTX 750ti
8gb ram
Currently only getting 90-130fps in CS:GO and about 35-50 fps in PUBG.
I need atleast 144fps in CSGO because im going to buy a 144hz monitor soon.
So should I upgrade my gpu or cpu? and to what? preferably for around $300.
Will my CPU bottleneck a better GPU?

You don't HAVE to have 144 FPS on a 144Hz monitor. The CPU is still pretty decent for now, you could get a 1060 6GBs or a 1070 for it, maybe OC it a little more.

Well, yeah, you're already getting more than decent FPS, 90-130 to 144 ain't that much of a stretch. You could get a better card even if it bottlenecks, that way, when you'll change CPU and mobo, the new CPU will be able to push it further. I think the 1070 is around 300$.

You could always try to overclock your current card, see if it gets you near the FPS you want, never hurts to try, just don't push it too much and fry it ...

Thanks man. I already have OCd my GPU but 750ti is just a bit outdated. Where I live the 1070 is 500€ cheapest. 1060 for about 300€ so ill go for that most likely!

NP bro. Ouch, that's expensive. Maybe wait a while till the prices drop? GPUs prices are getting jacked up because of the shortage caused by bitcoin miners lol.
