Im upgrading my hdd to ssd, and im wondering will the samsung data migration tool remove the OS from the hdd in the process?, and also should i create system image before trying to migrate the files? I have the SSD plugged in already to SATA III but i have not done anything to it in disk management, should i format or activate it somehow before migrating? also im on Win7.
at the moment the migration shows that source drive is named to samsung 850pro ssd but it is my 1tb since it shows 931gb total size (it has 84gb current stuff) and TARGET is the ssd (120gb). aaaaaand one last thing that it shows both hdd and ssd in the migration screen as "C:"
(Computer was pre-built so i dont have the windows CD for install, thats why migration)
