Good evening to all, and hopefully a better one for me after i find out a bit on this situation. I am currently using (USB devices) a Razer black widow ultimate, razer naga, razer kraken (i know, razer fanboy), a Netgear WNA3100 and a solid state ext drive. When i had Windows 7 this would never happen, but i upgraded to 8.1 and every hour or so EVERYTHING will disconnect, i have to unplug and reconnect my wireless card and sometimes it takes a few minutes for my keyboard and mouse to come back on. I have seen some posts about this, but everyone is talking about going into USB controls and what not, and updating the chipset drivers, but i have absolutely no idea what those are and where i can find them. Any help at this point would be greatly appreciated. Thanks all!
Sincerely,
Scurie.

Drivers for your PC:

If it's a factory-built computer, you can get the drivers from that manufacturer's website.

If it's a custom-built/self-built PC, you need to go the motherboard manufacturer's website for the drivers.

Be aware that the computer or motherboard manufacturer may not support Windows 8/8.1 on your particular model (ie they may not have Windows 8/8.1 drivers for it. If that's the case, you cannot run Windows 8/8.1 on that computer.

That's why you should always check driver availability before you upgrade or downgrade the OS.

Hi Phillip,
Thank you for the response. It 'appears' as though it works with 8.1, seeing as the issue that i have occurs very rarely. I am going to guess that it's a matter of drivers. I will be sure to check out the manufacturers website for the motherboard. It is custom built.

Sincerely,
