Need help with VPN'S

Hi, i have been using nordVPN for a week now and it seems to be working really well on my laptop and android.
I am now looking for a way to connect my xbox one to it so i get the US netflix but the only way i can see to get this working is by creating a virtual network.

I know you can use DNS settings to get the same result but i don't trust the sources as i know people can get my info etc through dodgy DNS codes.

Can anyone help me with setting up my own virtual network that can be broadcast wireless?

Does nordvpn work for netflix on your laptop. Getting past the netflix blocks is a constant battle. From time to time they update the list of blocked ips so can't really trust information that is even a couple months old.

There are 2 ways to run vpn. You either run the vpn client on the end machines or you run it on the router. It tends to be easier for people to get it to work on end machine since the install scripts set most things up. The major issue is not all devices support that...I don't know about xbox.

If your router supports vpn client mode any device behind the router will run on the vpn with no special support. I run it on the router always because the vpn clients tend to mess up my machines. Nordvpn has pretty good instructions for setting it up on most the common router vpn clients.

yes it works fine on my laptop i know xbox doesn't support vpn's so i was trying to get my laptop
to broadcast its own wifi if that makes sense.

If its ran through the router will it effect online gaming etc and can you turn it off without messing around with all the router settings again. i litterally only need it on once a day when i use netflix

You can if you really want to is set it so only traffic to netflix...you have to find the ips...go via the vpn. Other wise it is as simple as a single click to turn the vpn on and off.

Well, on PS4 you could set SmartDNS I think (https://support.nordvpn.com/#/SmartDNS/1161148842/SmartDNS-on-Playstation-4.htm). Don't know about the Xbox One. It is possible to set up Nord on your router or by a wired connection from your laptop, don't think wireless would work. You could always contact their support of course.
