At my work we have a large amount of hard drives that need to be wiped every month. Our current set up only allows 30 to be wiped at the same time. We need to wipe more so is it possible to use old servers say Dell Poweredge 2950 to wipe 6 drives simultaneously and have a whole rack to wipe 50+ hard drives? I am flexible on the server type i just need to know if its possible to do this.

Hello, adsbikes!

I believe there is a software you can use for this purpose, I don't know if you are familiar with DBAN.
Darik's Boot And Nuke might be the simplest way to erase that amount of hard drives.
FAQ says it has been tested with up to 100 SCSI disks at once. However, they recommend up to 4 disks at once for most desktop computers: http://www.dban.org/node/39
You could get in touch with their support and ask them personally if your servers can handle wiping more HDDs simultaneously.

Hope this helps! :)
