need help

can anyone tell me what is this file" Wscript.exe" What does it do and can i delete it?
I believe this file may have slow down my computer

You can remove the Windows Scripting Host from a Win 95/98 machine via START>SETTINGS>CONTROL PANEL

Double-click ADD/REMOVE PROGRAMS click on WINDOWS SETUP tab, you will find WSH under Accessories. Uncheck it and apply.
