ok I need a little help with this please.

I bought a new i7 computer. and i want to use this computer with my existing GPU GTX560. I bought a new 700watt power supply and installed it, yes all correctly and installed the new card with two powerconnectors connected to GPU. The computer starts up but nothing is displayed. I tried using the on board graphics card DVI connection and it does not work either. When i unplug the card from teh PCIe slot the on board graphics card works. When i Plug in the dedicated GT 620 the computer orignianlly came with it works, and this does not require any other power connectors other then sliding into the PCIe slot. I tried another graphics card that i know works, and this card also requires 2 PCI power connectors, and that did not work either. I changed out the power supply i just bought to the power supply from my old computer which all these components work fine in, and same problem.

It seems that there could be a short when a graphics card is plugged in to an external power source, because when using a card that does not require extra power it seems to work fine. Is this a mother board problem? i hope not, as i do not want to return this and do all the work all over again..lol

any suggestions?
