NEED HELP!

Hello,
dell inspiron 560 desktop turns on, can see the Windows logo, but screen is black and won't do nothing. I ran diagnostics test on HDD and BIOS and all passed. not sure what to do next.

Thank u all, I was able to get the computer to start and log on to windows. However, now I have a horrible virus that will not let me access none of my file, programs, or c drive. I installed Malware Bytes and it doesn't pick up any virus. Any suggestions!

How do you know that it is a virus, MBAM is not for viruses.

wen i logged in, i got a bunch of pop ups came up and the only way i was able to do anything was in safe mode. i was able to uninstall a lot of unwanted software including a PC cleaner. however, wen i try to access my c drive or any of my files it tells me that access is denied. it wont allow me to delete any icons on my desktop, it tells me access denied also.

Do you have second PC or laptop to get programs from Internet to load into troubled Inspiron?
