I don't think is the same and although i did download it. the file wasn't recognized.

Welcome to the forums, newcomer!

I see an SI at the end of your motherboard, did you find that off of CPU-Z ort is that what's labelled on your motherboard's PCB/sticker? If this is from a prebuilt, can you pass on a link to the prebuilt's site? Google image searches tell me it's the same board, down to the componnet. I would advise on you guying another BIOS chip for the board, desolder the one that comes with your motehrboard and reflash the new BIOS chip witht eh BIOS version found off Gigabyte's support site for the non-SI version.

Speaking of non-SI, where did you buy the board from if it didn't come through a prebuilt?

I bought this second hand. As it was cheap and needed a replacement for MB. As for replacing a bios chip. I wouldn't even know where to start to buy one.

If you have the option to return the board, you should and then pick up something that has native support from Gigabyte. The SI at the end of the board would signify that the board was meant for System Integrators who would have access to the BIOS or perhaps have a custom BIOS tailored/written by said System Integrator.

If you flash the board with a standalone(non-SI) variant board's BIOS, chances are you can brick the board beyond recovery.
