I recently switched from my 5700xt to rtx 3080. I uninstalled my 5700xt and installed the 3080 then I forgot to uninstall the drivers when the signal was undetected. Then I reinstalled my 5700xt and now my 5700xt wasn’t being detected either but now for some reason my fans won’t spin on it but it lights up. After trying to re seat the 5700xt and see if everything is plugged into the gpu and psu correctly I noticed everything looked fine. But when I switch to my 3080 it isn’t detected but my fans spin. Please help!!!

When I upgraded from my HD5770 to GTX1050, the upgrade process was:
1- uninstall AMD drivers
2- turn off the PC to swap video cards
3- boot PC
4- install Nvidia drivers
5- reboot PC to clean up driver install remnants (you are likely going to get an involuntary reboot from a crash if you don't)

What is your system specs? If you have internal gpu, use onboard output and uninstall the old drivers with DDU (Display Driver Uninstaller). Then install RTX 3080 and install the newest Nvidia driver.

Yes there’s no output from the video card
The last time I had issues with a video card was the motherboard needed a firmware (BIOS) update. But this was like 10 years ago. I can't imagine this is necessary but to start, I would suggest resetting firmware settings and just making sure everything is firmly attached to the 3080.

You could also install the 5700XT if you have another PCIe 16 lane slot if you need another output.

Ok, you need to boot pc with old gpu, uninstall old drivers with DDU. Then turn off the pc to install the new gpu. Now it must boot up correctly and now you can install new Nvidia drivers.
