[SOLVED] need information about RAM upgrade

i have ddr3 4gd 667mhz with 1.5v ram but i want to upgrade it with 1600mhz ddr3L 8gb 1.3v. is their any risk or plz suggest how much mhz ram can i upgrade. plz help me. laptop model is dell n5010

1.35v 1600MHz is fine, however maximum memory capacity is 8GB, 4GB each slot. Voltage is only an issue if your laptop requires 1.35v ram and you put 1.5v ram in. The reverse is totally safe.

Going from 4GB to 8 will still be a good upgrade.

On topic, can you use CPU-Z and parse images of the info shown on each of the tabs? I've had instances whereby Crucial suggested XYZ ram for an upgrade only to learn that it wasn't compatible with the platform. Which is why I cross reference other sources. In this instance, I'm getting hits of your laptop being either with an 4th gen i5 or a 1st Gen i3. In both instances the memory controllers are different and their ram upgrade paths similarly different.
