Approximate Purchase Date: Original build date was early 2013

Budget Range:Willing to spend $300-400 to upgrade

System Usage from Most to Least Important:
Primary use will be Business/Light film editing
Some gaming, but not important.

Currently Installed Parts to Upgrade:
Case - Corsair 400R
Motherboard - ASUS P8Z77-V LK
Processor - Intel i5-3570K
PS - Corsair CX 750M
GPU - Nvidia GeForce GTX 970
Running 8GB Ram (two slots open)
Windows 7 Premium

Do you need to buy OS: Likely as I will be potentially upgrading the motherboard based on recommendations.

Preferred Website(s) for Parts: Newegg, Amazon, Fry's Electronics, Microcenter, open to others for pricing.

Additional Comments: Current case and build size is pretty large, would like to slim down on next case selection.

And Most Importantly, Why Are You Upgrading: Transitioning from my laptop to a desktop based setup. Looking to refresh my older PC build with up to date specs. Will primarily be used for Business/Trading (nothing too crazy). Using one Ultra-wide monitor currently which seems sufficient for my use.

I also create content on YouTube, so will be doing some light edit work on this PC.

Not sure what is still worth keeping vs better to start new...open to any suggestions!

Let me know if you need any other specs.
Thank you for your input.
