I need an affordable laptop (preferably under $500) for school. I would prefer a Windows operating system. It needs to be light, have at least two USB ports and an SD card slot. I would like to be anle to edit videos with an okay video editor, and I need to be able to write documents and acess the interent. Also needs an okay battery life. I am looking at laptops like the HP Mini Stream 11. Thank you for your help!

The HP Stream 11 is not really powerful enough to edit video. It can do, but it will be slow. Laptops with Intel Atom CPUs are not powerful enough for video editing on a daily basis.

Here is a video review of the HP Stream 11.

The following video is regarding video editing on inexpensive laptops with an Intel Atom CPU; similar to the HP Stream 11.

If you are looking for something small and relatively light, then I recommend the following 13.3" HP Pavilion x360 - 13t Touch laptop for $500. It is the least expensive 13.3" laptop that I am aware of and it weighs 3.77lbs in it's base...

It comes with an Intel Core i3-6100u CPU that is far more powerful than any Intel Atom CPU.

American Express cardholders who spends at least $250 at HP.com by November 21st can get a $50 credit on their statement. You need a Twitter account to get the $50 credit which could take up to 90 days.
