okay, so I am planning on building a pc to game on (as well as every day use), don't want to go over $700 budget really, already have a single 1920x1080 monitor, wont be using more than one, and already have the OS here is what I have that i need to get so far, please help fill in the blanks with suggestions asap! thanks people!

CPU: intel core i5 3570k ~ $205 ~ Amazon
GPU: yet to be decided ~ about $200 preferably (would love a 680 or 7970 for $200)
PSU: yet do be decided ~ hopefully $70 yet still quality
SSD: yet to be decided if will be included into the build ~ $75 would be nice for 64-128gb
MOBO: Asrock z77 extreme4 (w/ 2x4gb 1600ghz PC3 12800 SDRAM free) ~ $135 ~ Newegg
CASE: Rosewill Challenger ~ $45 ~ Newegg
HD: 1 TB 7200 RPM 3.5" ~ already bought for $50
Wireless Adapter ~ $20 ~ Amazon
Logitech Wireless Keyboard ~ $25 ~ Amazon
OS: Windows 8 ultimate ~ FREE ~ perks of my job
1920x1080 Monitor ~ already have (price ignored)

Total as stands at all these prices ~ $825

Still would like to cut 125 dollars if possible w/o performace loss, please comment/share thoughts and ideas! All thoughts appreciated!

btw, anyone know of any decent cases with a side window and at least 3 fans for $50 or less?! i REALLY would love to get into a decent side window that has pretty good air flow, also, an afterthought.. im concerned with the size of the 7970, they say they are a pain in almost all cases =/

Sigh... Would it be better if I just ran my sli 560 ti's? I just heard they don't work we'll on all games because some games will only use one and not both, and if I did go with them then what 850w PSU can I get that's like 70 bucks and good?

Reviewers on newegg cannot be trusted. The other PSUs that brand makes appear to have a bad reputation. Discussion (unfortunately couldn't find a proper review) on JonnyGuru about it: http://www.jonnyguru.com/forums/showthread.php?t=3113
EDIT: The XFX 850W I linked is good and $85.
If you want to believe newegg reviews: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=17-148-022&SortField=0&SummaryType=0&Pagesize=10&PurchaseMark=&SelectedRating=1&VideoOnlyMark=False&VendorMark=&IsFeedbackTab=true&Keywords=%28keywords%29&Page=1#scrollFullInfo

Lol yeah that's weird I could not find any official reviews on the psu around the web either. I can understand why he might not want to use a less reliable brand, just that it had half off at the time. Some people are willing to take that extra "risk" so I thought I would post it.

Another question.. Would a 128 gb ssd be good enough an just add the hdd later? I can return the hdd since newegg has a bonus of for a 850w and a 128gb ssd, might wanna jump on that now.. But I don't want 128 gb to not be enough for running purposes..

I seem to recall that we just had this discussion...

The two 560 Tis from your friend for $100 is a killer deal, just stick with those. You aren't going to get better prices on that, and there's no way in hell you're going to find a 680 or a 7970 for $200, much less anyone crazy enough to trade you theirs. Furthermore, a 680 is a waste of money compared to a 670, the difference in performance is only like 10% for another $100-150.

You could get by on just an SSD and no secondary storage for a while if you are cautious with your installs.

For case, take a look at the Zalman Z11+ HF1 that just went on sale for $50 after promo code and rebate. It has everything you're looking for, and I recently got to do a build in one and was very impressed with the quality for the price.
