ok I'm wanting to build a new computer but using the lightest possible case and computer componets. I have a broken back and move the computer around from time to time and have even thought about making the computer mobile for lan parties and what not cause I need powerfull graphics but the lightest possible computer.

what case material might I be looking for?
and are there any recommendations on an ultra-light pc/computer case?

using a micro atx board would be fine or whatever board (lightests) that can support 2 graphics cards.

may be looking at possible 1graphic card boards to.

Solution
you can get some pretty ultra-light all aluminium miniITX cases which can be lifted with 2 fingers. the problem you may face though is a good quality PSU will be HEAVY.
TFX/SFX PSU cases on a MiniITX will likely be the only way to go; as an example

(2.1kg which is 4.63lbs)
and http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817256116
which is 3.09lbs
7.72lbs WITH a PSU is very close to about the absolute lightest configuration you could put together, though there may be a few aluminium miniITX cubes that could beat that..the problem is those will be designed to fit a full ATX PSU, and unless you're going to buy a DEER or a Sparkle PSU(which will fry caps inside of...
you could go for an ITX build you can get some pretty small cases that have interesting ways of utilizing space, search around for mini ITX and see what you think, you can have a seriously powerful gaming rig from an itx board

You could look at aluminum or even full plastic there are some out there but all will have some metal in them to be strong enough to hold together. and for emi sheilding. A case is a pretty personal choice so you could search for the materials I have listed all should tell you the weight of the case of course you will have to add in the weight of the components also. Their are some newer micro systems that could work for you I think maybe something like the falcon tiki or at least that general size or smaller.
https://www.falcon-nw.com/desktops/tiki I know these cost alot but it will give you a general size and what components they use so you could design your own. this will also give you an idea of performance for the size. There are also smaller systems too.

There are no LIGHT components, I mean folks building your GPU have to use enough copper traces to do its job and a beefy enough heatsink so the thing doesn't melt. All you have control is, the enclosure.

Look at it another way though, maybe all you need is a box WITH HANDLES! really, am not being silly. One of my PC was built in a Mac G4 enclosure (I called it my iPC) which has those BIG, ROUND handles and man, it made big difference when I had to move it. :)

(3.46lbs)

(5lbs)
so 8.46lbs with a quality PSU....

Solution
I like the idea above but really I need the lightest gaming case so it must be able to fit a decent psu and a radeon 480 sized graphic card. also wouldn't hurt to be able to use a decent aftermarket cooler in it but can possibly work with the cpu cooler size air.
