Need Mobo, Processor, Graphic Card Recommendations

Hi All,

I am finally going to replace my old clunker with a new custom built rig. I am currently run my entire life (work and play) with my computer...MS Office, QuickBooks, Video Editing (Adobe Premiere), Windows Media Center (w/Ceton Tuner), MyMovies, and heavy gaming. I would love to get recommendations on a new Mobo, i7 Processor, Graphic Card that can more than adequately handle the load. Time is money to me, so the less I have to wait for my rig to respond to even simple things like rendering the better I'm willing to spend the bucks. Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks!

Do I really need to embrass myself? You're gonna laugh, but I currently run a Dell OptiPlex 745, Core 2 Duo 2.13 GHz, with 8GB of RAM, and SSD drive to keep day to day tasks not so sluggish. I'm in the stone ages here, and def need an upgrade!

I fully agree with this build, however the only change that I would make would be to go with a single Titan rather than SLI 780s and to spend the extra money on some faster RAM, I'd say shoot for some 2133Mhz at CAS 10.

I fully agree with this build, however the only change that I would make would be to go with a single Titan rather than SLI 780s and to spend the extra money on some faster RAM, I'd say shoot for some 2133Mhz at CAS 10.

Dude. Titan is not worth the price to performace ratio. And 2 780 will give you more cuda cores. And that can help you alot. Saw alot of guys use this for game dev and 3d animation than a titan. :lol:

X79 is a platform for Intel's Extreme Processors (LGA 2011)

LGA 2011 is better than LGA 1150 or 1155

Because its supports upto 64 GB of Ram than 32 GB of Ram from a LGA 1150 or 1155.

And it has more cache and better Soldering (the thermal paste between the actual chip and the shield)
