I have a viewsonic va1926w monitor. I lost the pedestal/base that came with it when I purchased this monitor in 2008. The picture is still great and I want to give it to my teenage son to use. Here is the link to see what the back of the monitor looks like. http://www.manualslib.com/manual/266493/Viewsonic-Va1926w.html?page=10#manual is there a DIY workaround to enable its use. there are no bases on sale on ebay. I can't mount it on a wall because of space restrictions. Does anyone know any third party pedestal/bases available to support this monitor. thanks in advance for your guidance and help

Solution

It has standard VESA mount holes.
Any VESA compatible stand will work. See these...

Looks like a simple fix to me.

I would get a 2x4 (maybe 10" long), and measure and cut 4 holes where the 4 screws go. If you have the screws for the base, take them to home depot and get longer ones with the same thread pitch.

Then attach the 2x4 to the monitor. Now get yourself a piece of 3/4" plywood and screw that into the bottom of the 2x4. Boom DIY monitor base.

Or you could do it like this....the right way.

The right way..........always a good decision!!
