Hey guys, I'm in need of a new motherboard. My current Motherboard is an Asus p8z68 mpro, with an i5 2500k, Xigmatek aegir cpu cooler (with the motherboard mounted on the rear of the heatsink), 8gb ram and a gtx 670, all powered by a corsair tx750 psu. I plan to sli with my 670, but my current motherboard isn't sli compatible. I also plan to do some overclocking, but nothing serious. I am looking for a motherboard that will handle the overclocking well, but my budget is only $200-$250 aud, but it could stretch a little. If possible I'd like to know what you guys' recommendations would be and why. Thank you for your time :)

If you want a Micro ATX then go for - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813131830&nm_mc=AFC-C8Junction&cm_mmc=AFC-C8Junction-_-na-_-na-_-na&cm_sp=&AID=10446076&PID=3938566&SID= ( 2way Capable )

IMO negative - Haswell is coming and newer bigger badder GPUs so if i were you i'd wait, analyse the $$/perfomance of incoming stuff and go single GPU all the way (unless multi monitors gaming) Move to an entirely new platform (chip/board) in one shot if it is found wanting (which would not be anytime soon)

Asrock Z77 Extreme 4 would do the trick for $135: http://www.pccasegear.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=138_1183&products_id=19867. Unless you want to push a serious OC or have specific needs like thunderbolt, msata, etc, I don't think there's much sense spending more.
Bear in mind if you have Win7 OEM, your licence is tied to your MB, so legally you would require a new OS. Win8 OEM licence allows you to change MBs.

I admit. But he will end up spending a 1-2K Bucks for that. So it doesn't make sense for any one except those who are building a new rig or for those who want a upgrade from the dead Core2 Lineup.

Thanks for the quick response guys! I am not intending to upgrade my rig for a bit, I'm looking to this as a means to not have to upgrade for a while, as the $600-$800 is all that i'll have to spend on the computer for a while, I might actually be interested in pushing the overclock a bit so I'll want a sturdy motherboard that is capable of handling it. Again, Thanks for your help :)
