Need Motherboard advice

I'm planning to assemble a new PC - mostly for web design, graphic-intensive work and also some gaming and simulators.

What motherboard would give me best bang for the buck? I'm planing on using Intel Core i7-2600K, with Nvidia SLI (model depending on what I can squeeze into my budget). I'm a big fan of ASUS boards, but I see a dozen models with different chipsets for LGA1155 and have seen some mentions of SLI losing fps due to pci limitations on some chipsets... I'd like to so some on-demand overclocking on K as well, but nothing extreme.

So which ASUS model would fit my goal without breaking the bank?

Thanks.

Correction: Tom's Hardware is writing about microstuttering issues on SLI and crossfire, so I guess I better stick with single card, so no SLI requirement!
