I've got a lot of suggestions for my new build and it's now complete as soon as I choose a new motherboard. I was first going to buy 8700k with ASRock extreme4 z370 but the availability is terrible and I don't want to wait for months so going with 9700k instead.

I figured I should go ASRock extreme4 also but the z390 one, and then I read that it was not nearly as good as the z370 version. People suggest the gigabyte aorus boards but the availability are pretty bad for those (and apparently the BIOS looks terrible) as well because I'm going to buy all the components tomorrow.
I'm going to OC the CPU but nothing crazy so I don't need a super expensive board but I want it to be reliable. Budget is around 200-250e

There's like a million versions of all the Asus boards for example so it's quite confusing. But I would appreciate a lot of suggestions so I can check the availability and the price (in Finland)

EDIT: I must have been confusing with my wording, I do not intend on buying a z370 board for the 9700k, just that I found a good z370 board for 8700k but was "forced" to go for 9700k and the same board z390 variant might not be as good. So looking for a z390 board now.

I'd probably avoid the Z370 boards as many of them may not have the updated BIOS to support the 9th gen Intel CPU's. As for which board to get unfortunately there's not too many reviews but the Asrock Extreme, Gigabyte AORUS, ASUS Prime/Strix & some higher end MSI boards would be fine.

The z370 version will likely need a different CPU that works with earlier BIOS versions to flash the BIOS before a 9th Gen CPU will work. Either that get a motherboard that can update BIOS without CPU or memory installed.

ASUS ROG Maximus X Formula uses USB BIOS Flashback.

Motherboard with USB BIOS flashback is out of your price range.

ASUS PRIME Z370-A along with Celeron G4900 is in your price range.

Yeah I'm not going to buy Z370 boards, edited my post to make it more clear. Just having trouble choosing a decent Z390 board since the ASRock extreme might not be that good.

I'm sorry for the misunderstanding but I'm not looking for a Z370 board anymore after changing from 8700k to 9700k. Edited my post to make it more clear, apologies.

Yeah sure, here's a couple: https://www.verkkokauppa.com/fi/catalog/10989c/Intel-LGA1151-(ATX)/products?sort=price https://www.jimms.fi/fi/Product/List/000-1P4/komponentit--emolevyt--intel-lga1151--z390?ob=6 the hinta.fi list works too like calvin used it but probably buying from verkkokauppa or jimms.

I have the z390 ASRock Taichi Ultimate and loving it. I OCed a 9600k big time on it with no issues. Now it's running a 9900k stock. Has pretty much anything you can ask for features-wise. The bios is intuitive and easy to use. Easier than my last msi board anyway.

Tom's review if you want to see a small breakdown:

Oh yeah I've heard lots of good things about taichi but it's like 285€+ here, quite expensive for a motherboard.
