I'll start by first saying my current CPU runs pretty normal temperatures according to google. Typically about 32-38C with nothing much going on and never over 60C with heavy gaming going on. GPU runs 38-44C with nothing going on and 66C during heavy gaming. The usage of the CPU is 99% and GPU 97% which I understand is pretty awesome. So neither are bottlenecking the other.
However. My god damn CPU fan is so loud during heavy gaming its crazy. I mean like LOUD. It starts slow and gets louder and louder which is expected as it continues to cool the processor, but this is crazy. I am looking for suggestions for new heatsink/fan combos for compatible for my mobo and processor.
Motherboard - GA-MA790X-UD4P by Gigabyte
Processor - AMD Phenom II x4 965, 3400mhz, 4 cores.
Graphics Card - MSI GTX 970 100 ME
Ram - 4x2GB
Looking for something compatible with all that for under $50. Have a custom thermaltake tower with plenty of room. Any questions let me know, thanks homies.
