I am looking to purchase a new gaming laptop with the price range of $2,500, anyone have any suggestions for me on what to buy as there are a few options I don’t know what is best

With that budget, lots of options.

What types of games do you play? Do you want highest quality or best performance?

Do you have a size preference, $2500 easily gets you into desktop replacement territory (which may mean you are competing against bitcoin miners to get them)

Depends on what you want

If you want a luggable tank with the latest tech, Thunderbolt 4, superb 60hz 4K display and a good balance of GPU to resolution. You may want the Gigabyte Aero 17.

If you want the fastest 1080p refresh rates (240hz) paired with the fastest GPU for your budget and other current tech like Thunderbolt 4. There's the Gigabyte Aorus.

There's also the Razer. 1440p resolution with high refresh rates (240hz). CPU is last gen and Thunderbolt 3. Laptops pretty thin so thermals are questionable.

Just note that even with the mega GPUs. 240hz likely won't mean much as the laptop CPU's won't get close to that with many games. Due to thermal limitations and lower general speeds than desktops.

If you're looking for something more along the lines of small and light. Sacrificing performance. There are some other options.

I’m no heavy gamer at all but I do play and like good performance in more FPS games and I also do some video editing so I just would want the best option overall nothing specific for a certain game etc... no size preference either, ofc I wouldn’t want something too small but I’m not looking for anything specific but I am just specifically looking for a laptop as I’m not in the position right now to have a desktop pc

What do u think of this? I realized my budget is more at $2,000 rather than 2.5k https://www.dell.com/en-us/shop/gam...laptop/spd/alienware-m15-r4-laptop/wnm15r410h

Well, the Aorus has more system memory, on a personal level it looks nicer than the Dell. Also the larger of the two though at 17" 300hz display. Dell is 15" at 144hz, so inferior in that regard. But 300hz is really only for very light titles like CS:GO where you can actually get close to 300FPS.

Both of these laptops use the previous generation Intel CPUs, nothing wrong with that, still plenty fast. And the 11th gen are quite power hungry.
