Need new graphics card for photo & video editing

I just got a new 2560x1600 monitor (I love it!) and currently have a NVidia GTX460 card (2 gig ram) plus I have 12 GB RAM on my motherboard (i7 3.20 GHz CPU). Need advice for new video card. I like NVidia and the PC vendor suggested I get either a NVidia 660 or 760 series card. BUT these are promoted for gaming.

Any advice (would prefer to stay with NVidia but will consider alternative if you can explain why.

I would get a MSI R9 270X as it has much better bang for the buck than Nvidia cards

Overall, the 760 is the strongest solution of the 3 models.

right now nothing really exotic - I use a Corel Video studio program and a Magix Video Pro X for video and I'm still trying to work out which photo editing program to get. I'm trying to justify the Adobe photoshop but not the hard core version.

Go for R9 270X for the OpenCl programs. Corel Video uses OpenCl so the gpu can help boost performance. Magix Video Pro X has also OpenCl support.
