If you can go up to $319 then definitely get the EVGA GeForce GTX770 SuperClocked , 2GB GDDR5
Also, it is very important that you get more than that 8 GB RAM. 12 GB would be fine- if you can go for 16 GB, then that would be superb. 8 GB is good for any gaming at all, but rendering and video editing etc all demand more memory, especially if you are doing high end editing and rendering.

Thanks for responding, there is 2 8gb sticks on my list so i do have 16gb right now. I could move my budget up to $450 if it is a logical/significant upgrade but people say gpu is not that important in rendering? There is a couple gtx 780 card for under $450 or 770-2gb or 4gb i could do... or someone says wait for the Quadro K2200?
There's an identical threads on this topic. You definitely want CUDA for the Adobe stuff and ya can learn all ya need to know about CUDA, especially that you need to "unlock" it, here:

Looking at the Maya results....I'd try and raise the budget a bit more for the 770

MSI 770 - 9.8 rating

Asus - 9.6 rating

Gigabyte - 9.6 rating

Zotac - 9.6 rating

Techpowerup didn't do the EVGA 770 but using the EVGA 780 as a guide, the EVGA scores a 9.4 to MSI's 9.5..... on the 780 Ti, the MSI scores a 9.9 to the EVGA's 9.5

Thanks for replying and thanks for the links, i searched but never saw those.
So one question is the vram on graphics card important like does 2 vs 3 vs 4gb make a difference for rendering in the programs i listed?

Can't answer that VRAM question without knowing the file sizes that you will be editing; best ask your application vendors.

If you can up ya budget, ya can see that the 780 Ti kicks tail in Maya. Check you other apps

The MSI 780 Ti has been $600 every other week on newegg for going on 4 months (currently $670)..... Kinda interesting that it gets the 9.9 rating from techpowerup and yet it's been the cheapest 780 Ti....well at elast every other week. Other manufacturers have been dropping prices recently with $610 - $620

With the 880 popping next month, that should drop the price....when the 780 Ti came out, the 780 dropped $200. I'd wait till then and try and hopefully pick one up for $450
