Well I need a new motherboard, because I recently changed a lot of parts, a case being one of them, but because the idiot who built my first gaming computer broke 8/9 screws in my old case, it was hard getting all the screw out and I had to use a bit of force, which caused some damage to the motherboard, and now my computer doesn't work like it should. (it's unstable, a lot of software doesn't work like they should and certain windows updates won't install)
I upgraded my PC a few years back and I didn't know the screws were broken, so when I was changing motherboards I had no choice but to use the broken screws (at the time I didn't think about getting new screws and motherboard stand-offs), but my recent upgrade I changed a lot of parts except Motherboard, CPU, GPU and a couple of 1TB HDDs.
So I bought an SSD for OS, RAM because the old ones were slow and pretty heavily used, Powersupply, Case and CPU cooler, but because the motherboard took some damage I now need a new mobo and CPU.

The answer should be obvious but I just want to make sure that I make the right choice, because I do want the new Skylake CPU, but because my DDR3 RAM is pretty new it's much cheaper to just buy a 4690K CPU and Z97 mobo, instead of Z170 mobo, 6600K CPU and DDR4 RAM.
So the difference between a 4690K CPU vs a 6600K should be so small that it would make much more sense to get the 4690K CPU?

Solution
In this case , you should go with the 4690k, considering you have already bought DDR3 RAM.
The difference will be pretty small between these 2 CPU's (~5%) .
