I have a h81m e34 mobo with a g3258 and r7260x and im looking to upgrade in the near future to a i5 4690 and a gtx 960 you guys think I would need to upgrade my mobo?
I'm assuming you own the MSI H81M-E34 motherboard http://us.msi.com/product/mb/H81ME34.html#hero-overview there would be no need to get a new motherboard. It would only give your graphics card about a 3% performance boost since this one has a second gen PCIex16 slot and higher-costing boards have a PCIex16 3rd gen. No need for a new motherboard - really no performance gain at all.

The only reason you'll need to upgrade the motherboard is if you are going to run two GPUs in SLI if your case has room for a full ATX motherboard. Other than that, your motherboard is fine.
