Hi.
Sorry for my english.
Ineed a good monitor mostly for movies in 2d. Some gaming (maybe ... mass effect, halo, star wars, racing, some 2000's games.)
Now I have a semi-porf. 2004-2005 year CRT 17" 100Hz monitor, but my eyes hurt and eyesight little bit decreasing, some little blur effect on far distance 🙁
PC: ASUS P8H61-M (HDMI, DVI), Core i3-2120, Integrated video (Intel HD 2000), Caviar Blue WD5000AAKX, Win 7 HB 64-bit.
If it needs i can buy a video card, something like GT 520, GT 440 or radeon (for Display Port - for connection with monitor).
Budget: 200 - 400 $ (i do not want to pay more than 300-350 $ , but if monitor really, really good and worth it i can pay more, up to 500-550 $).
Movies: Space Opera, Action (Space films usually have a lot of dark and fast scenes.)
I have found some monitors:
Eizo FORIS FS2331 (va)
Dell U2212HM (ips)
VP2365-LED (ips)
EA232WMi (ips)
BENQ EW2420 (va)
Asus PA238Q (ips)
What i know about display matrix:
*VA - good black, good colour, bad response time (Blur effect), color shifting (in blacks), no glare effect.
*IPS - bad black, good colour, mid response time, low color shifting, glare effect (light on the sides).
*TN - mid black, bad color, good responce time, color and everything shifting, no glare effect.
*TN 120Hz - people say it looks smooth, best responce.
