Need new processor

I really dont know how it works how to replace processor and i dont know if i need to upgrade because what i have now is Intel Core Quad Q6600 2.4Ghz which want should i got with any recommendations?
this processor is good can handle games its has been 4years and really i think its time to replace

your processor is 4 years old man if you want to upgrade to the newer ones you will also have to get a new motherboard since the processors change socket types with time ( intel freakin loves to change sockets)
with new motherboard you will need new ram because now we are using ddr3 and your system most likely is ddr2

Your processor isn't the thing holding you rig's PC performance back.

Your graphics card is your problem.
I know it's a lot newer than your processor but its really as slow as they get.
If you want to play games made after 2006 you really need a new graphics card.

I dont live in usa i live in UK so i need pounds not dollars but thanks i will look at this in uk sites

The 5450 graphics I believe loses to intel hd 4000 graphics in todays cpu's. Heck my 4 year old basic laptop has a better graphics card performance wise. You need something like a hd 5770 or hd 6850 or hd 7750 or if you can afford it hd 7850 depending on connection. Your cpu should play most new games fine.

I had my Gtx 260 graphic card i played all the games on high settings but the card is dead from all this year so i replaced now to ati 5450 from my old desktop but you see im afraid of the something can happen to processor
