Can someone help me build a system for under 1200, does not need to be a gaming system. I AM NOT A GAMER! repeat NOT a GAMER don't need the latest and greatest graphics card for games.

Approximate Purchase Date: 2 months

Budget Range: (e.g.: 300-400) $1200

System Usage from Most to Least Important: 3d rendering ( i run a cnc router, the 3d rendering on my current system takes ages) surfing net, watching movies

Are you buying a monitor: NO

Parts to Upgrade: (e.g.: CPU, mobo, RAM)Need everything but PSU, monitor keyboard case and mouse.

Do you need to buy OS: Yes

Preferred Website(s) for Parts: newegg

Location: USA

Parts Preferences: NO preference

Overclocking: NO

SLI or Crossfire: doesn't matter

Additional Comments: would like something that will last several years , Would like a mobo that has the most sata ports or a hdd enclosure possible, and Psu with the most sata power cables.

And Most Importantly, Why Are You Upgrading: Upgrading because my system is to slow for 3d rendering applications

Thank you in advance for your help

I would say something like this:

Intel iGPU for Quick sync in adobe programs

Nvidia gpu with 16gb VRAM for rendering

What software are you using? Blender?

Just something I quickly slapped together based upon your description, and assuming Blender use. You could probably improve upon the list with more research/fiddling.

Vcarve pro and aspire. and thank you ill check it out. Vetric programs on this pc, when 3d rendering, take so long i can go set up my job material, and still have time to take a break or eat or sleep LOL

Cheers. I’m not familiar with Vectric but did a bit of searching for info on its system requirements/usage. Very hard to find definitive comparisons. Found this forum post and this one. Sounds like it will use as much CPU performance as possible, but can accelerate with GPU for renders if it’s set up to do so in software via OpenGL. The official site is pretty vague on system requirements.

What‘s your current computer and its specifications?

The Vectric user forum might be a better place to ask specific system build questions. You might have specific needs based upon your 3D model sizes and software version.

The other uses you mentioned would be pretty well covered regardless, even by the contemporary ‘low end’. Good luck 👍
