Need of specs for first PC build

Im selling my Macbook pro on Graigslist to someone for 920 dollars. With my current money and the money I'm going to get from Christmas. Thats about almost $1400 or lower. I want to build an amazing first build, mostly for gaming, rendering, animation and editing. I would like something Upgradable, fast, powerful and quite. I don't want to spend most my money, but I want to buy specs that is worth my money. I want to play games like Battlefield 3, farcry 3 etc... I would like an Intel processor, Nvidia graphics, 1tb of storage, 8g of ram, a z77 motherboard (personally I like ASROCK, but I'm not very familiar with motherboards) some sort of CPU cooler, Power supple (as many watts anyone will think I need), SSD (if needed) and lastly a case that has great airflow and expandable. If theres any parts that Im missing feel free to ask. If theres anyone out there who can build me a PC thats worth my money. Though Im not sure about the $920 from graigslist, still in a negotiation. Though from Christmas I should make a good 600- 700 dollars. Thanks

For $50 more, you can get better quality parts than that. The OP can get a 240gb Intel SSD. It's one of the most reliable SSDs out there and plenty fast. He also gets a non reference design GTX 670...which just so happens to be the MSI power edition which can be overclocked like crazy with MSI Afterburner. He also gets a fully modular power supply that is far more efficient than the Corsair model you listed and it also uses the same parts as a Seasonic PSU.

You also neglected to include an aftermarket CPU cooler in your build. The OP will want one of those if he decides to overclock his CPU. Besides, he can do his build justice by doing away with the shitty stock cooler included with the CPU. Low profile RAM such as the GSkill Ares will go well with an aftermarket CPU cooler. This way, you won't run into clearance issues.
