Ayyo good folks, had someone request to me to build them a PC, and I need your help to pick the best parts for the budget.

I haven't been in the industry for a while (heck, I'm still running 3rd gen i5!) so I'm not really aware of the current best deals.

Approximate Purchase Date: this week
Budget Range: 650 - 8001000, probably can stretch a bit but of course the lower the better
System Usage from Most to Least Important: Photoshop, Premiere, watch movies, documents, etc.
Are you buying a monitor: No
Parts Preferences: prefers 12th-gen Intel CPU (specifically an i7) but not that restrictive to AMD CPU
Overclocking: No
Additional Comments: needs to be able to connect to two 1080p monitors, will probably use this for at least 4 years ahead (I know we can't foresee the future but from what I know the AMD has been superb in the longetivity department with their AM3/AM4 platform?)
Currently this is what I can gather:
  • Motherboard: Gigabyte H610M S2
  • CPU: Intel Core i7-12700
  • RAM: Klevv DDR4 Bolt X Series 3200MHz Dual Channel 16GB
  • GPU: Asus GeForce GT 1030 2GB
  • SSD: Adata SX6000 Lite 256GB M.2 NVME
  • HDD: WDC 1TB SATA3
  • PSU: Antec NeoECO Modular 550W
  • Case: Tecware Nexus C
Any help is appreciated, thanks!

i suggest an intel i7-11700k
and go for 16gb of corsair ram.

if you want to be graphic designing you want to go for more storage and a better graphics card, perhaps a 2060 6gb/12gb as well as 2 tb sata ssd?

Thanks for the tip, however I'm not sure if a 2060 can fit into the budget? Client asks for a 12th gen Intel instead which by itself already puts it in $818 (updated the current choice and budget).

the 2060 12gb is 275 right now on newegg, i suggest waiting for the 4090 to come out, that will drop prices.

with this pricing drop you may be able to go for a i7-12700K

also if youre trying to save money i suggest going for a hdd if your client doesnt mind the noise.
