Need Opinions on an ASUS DVD Drive

I'm thinking about getting an ASUS Model sdrw-08d2s-u..Anyone have any opinions good or bad.. Any help is greatly appreciated.. Thanks in Advance..

Asus DVD drives have always performed quite solid for me. I suppose though it depends on how much you plan on using it. These days I rarely burn more that one or two disks a year. Probably the fastest DVD burner I've actually ever owned in real tests. Very fast access times too, it really surprised me.

Their internal drives are very good , so I would think the externals would be decent.
