I'm going to build a new PC. My budget is around £1300 ($1600 USD).

I'm not sure what parts to choose. (the budget does not include peripherals)

My goals with this PC (in order of priority):

1) Play the latest games on the highest settings comfortably on a 144Hz 1080p monitor (So essentially have a system that can make use of the 144Hz).
  1. Competitive gaming (kind of linked to priority 1 but happy to tone down in game settings to achieve higher frames in competitive multiplayer games)
  2. Be able to stream and game at the same time without taking a huge frames per second hit.

I'm thinking of using my current PSU for my new build (see my current PC parts below) and also keeping the HDD for storage, so that will save me around £100.

So, what parts do you all recommend? Should I wait for any upcoming hardware releases? All input is very much appreciated

Thanks

Here is a pretty good build. It costs at the top of your budget but this system is very powerfull. The 8 core 2700x that turbos to 4.3ghz leaves a good upgrade path and great performance. The rtx 2080 is insanely powerfull. The combibation of this cpu and gpu with 16gb 3000 ram will allow for some great framerates in competitive titles and will hold up well over the next few years.
