Hello all, just registered to ask this question as I know there's probably no better place to ask this.

I'm trying to upgrade my rig and was wondering if these parts are good enough for good 4k gaming.

Motherboard: MSI MPG Z390 GAMING PRO CARBON LGA 1151 (300 Series) Intel Z390 HDMI SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.1 ATX Intel Motherboard

CPU: Intel Core i7-9700K Coffee Lake 8-Core 3.6 GHz (4.9 GHz Turbo) LGA 1151 (300 Series) 95W BX80684I79700K Desktop Processor Intel UHD Graphics 630

Vcard (recently bought):
XFX Radeon RX 580 GTS Black Edition 1405 MHz OC+, 8GB 256-bit GDDR5, DX12 VR Ready, Double Dissipation, Dual BIOS, PCI-E AMD Graphics Card (RX-580P828D6)

PCU (already own and forgot brand) : 850w

Desktop memory: G.SKILL TridentZ RGB Series 16GB (2 x 8GB) 288-Pin DDR4 SDRAM DDR4 3000 (PC4 24000) Memory (Desktop Memory) Model F4-3000C16D-16GTZR

I'd appreciate any and all opinions and tips.

Thank you! :)

In my opinion:

If You need a rig mostly for 4K gaming, You should move Your budget from CPU to GPU.

4K will put heavy load on graphics card, so any mid-tier CPU will handle the maximum framerates Your graphics card can draw in 1 sec.

You need top-speed CPU like Intel 9700K only if You want to go for maximum framerates like 144+. But then, card like 2070 won't be able to draw them in 4K resolution and max settings.

If all You need is comfort 4K gaming, maybe You should try 2080/2080ti and CPU like Ryzen 2600/2600X?

P.S. RX580 is for gaming at 1080p resolution. If You want to go 4K, You can sell it and buy a new one. This card just won't handle 4K, at least at reasonable settings in latest titles.

I really appreciate all the feedback, really nice of you guys!

I'm saving up to buy the components all in one shot. As for the vcard I'm content with the rx 580 for now for 1080p gaming for now as games still look pretty, until I save up some more for a higher end vcard.

I really thank you all!
