[SOLVED] Need opinions on using this board

I have a Gigabyte AX-370 Gaming K5 and have been using it since first gen ryzen and it's lived through second gen. Now the question is, can it live through third gen ryzen? Everything on Gigabytes website says that the board supports up to the 12 core (I'd be getting the 8 core 3700 or 3800). Who thinks it will blow up?

I think it will work just fine for the 3700x or even 3800x with an update to a BIOS that supports those CPUs.

A few people have said my ROG Strix B450-F won't be up to running even a 2700x BUT IMO they are wrong.
I plan on eventually getting a 3700x for my MB and I do not foresee it having any issue running that chip just fine once Asus gets the Bugs worked out of the BIOS.

Even with a B350 would do, as long you dont OC.

I will not be overclocking, so I could theoretically go for a 3900 without an issue possibly?

Should be ok. The 3900x does consume more power than a 2700x, but your board wont melt or anything.
