i really need your help as i am new for building Gaming computer and i am in the process of building one atm so i need your advice on the below.

Here is my computer specs so that you can have a clear image on what you are dealing with.

Case Corsair 750D

processor Intel Core i7 4790K 4.0GHz (4.4GHz Turbo)

motherboard GIGABYTE GA-Z97X-GAMING 7 LGA1150

Graphic card GIGABYTE NVIDIA GeForce GTX 970 Gaming 4GB GDDR5

Power supply CORSAIR HX Series HX750 750W ATX12V 2.3 / EPS12V 2.91
SLI Ready CrossFire Ready
80 PLUS GOLD

Ram Corsair Vengeance Pro 16GB DDR3 SDRAM Memory Module - 16 GB (2 x 8 GB) - 2400 MHz DDR3-2400/PC3-19200 - 1.50 V - ECC - Unbuffered

Cooling Corsair Hydro Series H100i Dual 120mm Fan CPU Cooler

HDD WD BLUE 1 TB DESKTOP HARD DRIVE: 3.5 INCH, 7200 RPM, SATA 6 GB/S, 64 MB CACHE - WD10EZEX

Fans 3x Corsair Air Series AF140 LED Red Quiet Edition High Airflow and 2x Corsair Air Series AF120 LED Red Quiet Edition High Airflow

Dust filter 2x SilverStone FF123B 120mm Ultra Fine Fan Filter w/ Magnet (Black)

SSD Samsung 840 EVO 250GB 2.5-Inch SATA III

DVD Asus DRW-24B3ST 24X Internal DVD+/- RW Drive (Black)

OS Microsoft Windows 8.1 Home OEM DVD 64-Bit

Now my problem is with compatibility of the rams with the processor, as per the specs above the seller listed the rams as 1.5v but when i got the rams on the box it says 1.65v when i confronted the ebay seller he gave the link to corsair that shows tested voltage 1.65 and spd voltage 1.5v anyway that is not related but i thought to mention so my rams is 1.65 volt and intel processor recommend rams at 1.5v plus that processor i got only supports 1333 and 1600 while my rams is 2400 at 1.65v so will it work for me if i use the XMP or shall i set the rams manually if i should then what is the best optimal setting for it and would i be doing harm to my new rig in anyway or overloading anything at all, i know my rig is built for OC but i am not planning on any now as it is brand new and i would like to enjoy it as it is for now but i would love to have those rams working the 2400 but not sure if i should go about it or not.
So please guide me here on what to do and what not to do.

Thanks in advance
Peave and luv

Ensure you have the latest BIOS, enable XMP in BIOS and select 2400, save exit and reboot...check and see if 2400 - should be. If it won't boot with them set at 2400 might require a slight CPU OC to run at 2400, regardless, 2400 and 1.65 is perfectly safe. The 1.5 recommendation is for the CPU at stock and running 1600 sticks

Yeah try and set the volts lower in the bios, also the ram speed will not actually be @ 2400MHz they will be lower - (and then you bump them up using XMP if your CPU/MOBO supports it :p)

My cpu supports XMP Now my question is that if i enable XMP then it will be working as 2400 at 1.65v right. What effect that has on my computer, am i damaging any parts doing that? Also would my system be stable or not? Would it be better to set the config manually? What is the best optimal Figures then to use if i plan to set it manually to give best performance and stability based on my computer specs as demonstrated above.

Yeah I would think that It would over stress the components! And it would be best to be safe then sorry! Maybe bump the XMP up to 1600 is what I would do and if you can turn down the voltages
