I had major PC problems a while ago with it needing a hard restart after a few minutes of ANY game. It was fixed by going to BIOS and adding .05 to the DRAM voltage. It worked fine but now the game I like had a major graphics update. It is much more taxing I imagine. It runs smooth, but now after a few minutes it crashes saying that the application was blocked access to graphics hardware and that the driver crashed and restarted. I just got a BSOD with the error IRQL not less or equal. I suspect its still my RAM but i dont know what more to do. add a little more voltage? i have no idea.

MOBO: Z170 HD3

RAM: GSKILL DDR4 16GB
model #: F4-2400C15D-16GVR

GPU: Radeon R9 380

very possible you had a automatic update for your graphics card. What is the bsod error ? Have u updated any drivers ? Do u have windows updates turned on or off. I leave my updates on windows off . Ive run a pc for over 7 yrs now I dont do updates on it. Perfectly stable pc. DONT LEAVE UPDATES on ever for windows sometime they harm your computer rather than help. Why risk it turn them off . Ive never had to reinstall windows because of bsod since . I run windows 7 ultimate . Also Amd driver updates on its own can cause this issue .

I need more info on the bsod write down what it says and send me a message. I can fix bsod related to amd . I have a certified tools with amd to help . pm me

OOPS, not saying you wont help, but i didn't mean to mark as best solution already. any way to undo?

I will try turning updates off. My GPU said there is an optional update but I didn't do it because everything else is fine. I am running Windows 10 btw...

The bsod was the "IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL" Usually, the game would just freeze and the "application has been blocked from accessing graphics hardware" error would come up, and I would have to open task manager to close the game. BUT, the time that the bsod came up, was when I started mashing ctrl+alt+del RIGHT when the game froze. So I don't know, if doing that made it worse and caused the bsod or if it was the game still.

Your actually the one who fixed my issues last time by suggesting the +.05. Good to see your still around helping out. However, it has been set yo +.06 this whole time because when I tried setting it to +.05, it kept defaulting to +.06 of the original voltage.

Still crashed with two errors: "graphics driver crashed and recovered" and "application has been blocked from accessing graphics hardware."
