Well after taking a look at the msata drives in the 90-128gb range, you only have 3 choices. Out of those 3 I would go with this one.

thanks ! my lenovo x220 is sata II , do you guys think it's a better idea to get a SATA III that's backwards compatible with sata ii, or just get a sata ii to start with?

Grab a sata III drive. The price to performance ratio is much better and the sata II interface on the board is not going to hold the drive back that much.

so you're saying that even though my board is sata II I should get a sata III and get the full 3gb/s supported by sata II controller?

I have a sata III ssd running on a sata II controller. The only thing that cant run at full speed is sequential reads and writes. The most common type of input output operation is 4k, and it only goes as fast as half the sata II bandwidth. This is all coming from an OCZ Agility 4 drive.

what is this 4k you speak of? and this 4k operation goes as fast as half the sata II bandwidth on a sata iii drive? does this mean sata ii drives will be faster here?

No. The sata III drive can't process that kind of information fast enough for it to matter what controller it is on. Another thing is alot of sata II drives can't fully use the sata II bandwidth with any kind of data transfers so either way getting a sata III drive is the better choice.
