I have about £200 budget a bit flexible, going to be buying second hand
I have a 1050 time currently and looking to upgrade
I mainly play overwatch but will be playing more demanding games in the future

Specs:
I5-2400
Asus mini-itx 1155 motherboard
10gb DDR3 RAM
AIO Cooler DeepCool Maelstrom 240T
Palit 1050 ti 4gb
650W power supply

GTX 980, GTX 1060 6GB or something else?

If you can afford those then sure either one would be great. But one thing you didn't mention is your power supply, which is THE most critical component to consider when upgrading a GPU.

Lol, as I was writing I was like "I've got to include the power supply wattage" and I forgot anyway!
