Question Need recommendations for replacement GPU ?

I want to replace my old Nvidia 8600 GT with something better that will work in my
HP Pavilion Elite M9250F.

Can i get a new card on eBay for under $50?

Honestly, you shouldn't be droping anything into that prebuilt. You could look into a GTX7590Ti but you'll need to make sure that your PSU can deliver at least 350W of power to the entire system, which I doubt if you're on the original PSU that came with the prebuilt.

a GT 1030 GDDR5 should also work fine.

it has a small power requirement, and will do well in older pc's like this. My core 2 quad q9500 pc used a GT 1030 GDDR5 for awhile.
