I'm working on a build, but my MB is bad. I have an Intel i7-5960X with a waterblock, 32GB DDR4 memory, I'm running 2 x Gigabyte 980 Ti Gaming G1 GPUs in SLI, I have waterblocks on the chipset and VRM, and all my tubing is acrylic. I know a lot of boards have come out since this one, but I need to find the best replacement today for this MB without having to change out too many parts to fit. For example, the RVE uses PCIe slots 1 & 4 for SLI so it would be nice to find a MB that uses the same slots so I don't have to redo all my acrylic tubing, plus I have an Nvidia bridge that fits these slots. I want to be able to just put my CPU with the waterblock on the new board, but if the chipset and VRM waterblocks don't fit, I can live with that.
So I guess I'm looking for the best MB that has an Intel 2011-3 socket and uses the same spacing for dual SLI as this board. I need to get this ordered today with Saturday delivery so I need to make a decision asap. I thought about going with the same board or waiting for the Asus Rampage 10, but I need to order something today, I'd like to order something that has additional features that the RVE doesn't have, and I want something that will require minimal work to everything else in my build. Does anyone have any experience with the Gigabyte Gaming MBs or the Asus X99-II MB? I would really appreciate any suggestions you might have. Thanks.
