Hi,

I am in need of some replacement screws for my pc case specifically for motherboard ( not stand offs) and some for screwing in the psu. I was hoping some of you could help. I found a link on here for new egg but postage was a lot. I was wondering if you know anywhere online in the up that has them cheap. Are they m2 screws or different?

Many thanks

First set at £7.25 has everything you need

Mb screws are standard m3 type , there are 3 different lengths in there so you're covered

Psu uses same screws aa cd-rom - covered again there (psu should come with screws in the box though in all honesty).

Metal screws , no washers are fine - look on the board around the fixing holes & you'll likely see pressed metal ringlets - theyre there for strength as well as for grounding points.

Hi, I’m from England found these but didn’t know if they are the right ones https://www.amazon.co.uk/Haobase-228pcs-Computer-Motherboard-Notebook/dp/B06XSX8L2Z/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1518257454&sr=8-1&keywords=pc+case+screws And these https://www.amazon.co.uk/Notebook-Computer-Assortment-Accessory-universal/dp/B01MA4DT8Z/ref=sr_1_4?ie=UTF8&qid=1518257554&sr=8-4&keywords=Pc+case+screws probably a stupid question but is it alright to use metal screws for the motherboard?

Hi

The second link looks like a notebook/laptop set of screws so no use for a desktop PC so get the first option for PC's

I presume you have heard of Maplin Electronic who have retail shops and are mail order

You could take an existing motherboard screw to one of their shops to get a pack of the exact ones you require
or buy a set of mixed PC screws

I am not sure if there is a standard for screws for the mounting pillars as I have seen different screw threads used

And you definitely want metal screws to mount the motherboard and you dont normally use any insulating washers

I am surprised that a new PC case would not come with a set of screws
