Need some advice about a pci 3.0 card

Jan 2, 2012

planning on going with this amd chip, I realize an intel would be better for the gaming I am wanting to do, but I also want to do alot of video editing with programs such as adobe after effects and sony vegas.
While the GPU may not run at "100%", it will provide good graphics for those purposes. It would be similar to buying a SATA III drive when you only have SATA II connections...

If you upgrade the computer later to a mobo that has PCIe 3.0 - you will be able to use it's full potential.

I think you will be happy with the combo - I wouldn't be concerned about the PCIe 2.0 vs. 3.0....
