Need some advice/help on this build please.

Hi, basically I am looking to purchase a high end custom build from a site called scan.co.uk.

Here are the main specs of what I am buying:

Asus P8Z68-V, Intel Z68 Chipset Motherboard

Intel Core i7 2600K, 3.4Ghz, Quad Core

2nd Generation Intel® Core™ Sandy Bridge CPU professionally overclocked by our 3XS engineers to 4.7Ghz

8Gb (2x4Gb) Corsair Vengeance LP, DDR3, 1600Mhz

4Gb XFX HD 6990

650W XFX Core Edition PSU

Be Quiet! Dark Rock Advanced BK014 CPU Cooler

120mm Akasa Apache Black Ultra Silent Fan


My concerns primarily are with noise, heat and power usage, so here are a couple of questions.

Will this build require a better PSU?
Should I look into water cooling or will the the fans listed be enough?
2x 6970s would give me more graphical power, but would it use more power, create more heat/noise compared to a single 6990? Whats the best middle ground.

Any help and further advice on my build would be much appreciated, thank you.

amd says for the gpu.
"750W Watt or greater power supply with two 150W 8-pin PCI Express power connectors recommended (1000W and four 8-pin connectors recommended for AMD CrossFireX technology in dual mode. 1200W recommended for optimal performance)"

and that sounds about right for me. well with your build. 650 might do it but since your overclocking so much, i would just get the 750.
if you care that much about being quiet just go water cooling. but i dont like water cooling because of the risk. plus ive seen air out perform water many times.

2x6990s would work but it would essentialy be considered as 4 gpus by your system and vary little takes advantage of that 4th one. much like a 4 core cpu.
the middle ground would be running a 6990 with a 6970 for triple crossfire. since the 6990 counts as two 6970s and your adding another for 3.
i myself would never get a 6990 because putting two gpus on a single card is bad for heat. i want a heatsink and fan for each gpu. it will help them run more stable and last longer.
i recommend getting a mobo that supports 8x or better on 3 pci-e 16x slots. and get 2 6970s. then if i felt i needed more at a later point id get another.
