hi Tom's Hardware community!

i come to you with a bit of a dilema. so i recently bought a GTX 1060 6gb for 150 dollars (i know, not the best of deals but that's one of the cheapest i could find in my country) to make a pc build and flip it for profit. in my main rig i have a GTX 970 and i was wondering, should i swap the GTX 970 from my main rig with the 1060? and of course, put the GTX 970 in the build that i want to sell, albeit with a slightly cheaper price tag. what would you guys do if you were in my position?

btw, for those who are interested, these are the deals that i got :

i5 3470, an MSI H61 mobo, 8gbs of DDR3 dual-channel memory clocked at 1600mhz and an Intel stock heatsink for 110 dollars
a 250gb Samsung 850 EVO SATA SSD, almost brand new 35 dollars
a brand new, sealed 1tb WD Caviar Black HDD, also 35 dollars
a brand new Corsair VS450, warranty included for 30 dollars ; first of all, i know this isn't the best of psus but i chose it because one, i'm not comfortable with buying second hand psus, regardless of how good some deals might be... and two, it's from Corsair, a reputable brand. plus, i've seen a lot of people running more power hungry CPUs and GPUs with no problem. i'd rather buy a 450w psu from a reputable brand than a 700w from a no-name brand

so what do you guys think? i'd love to hear all of your opinions and suggestions below! thanks.

Is that list of components the rig you are planning on flipping? Or your rig you want to swap cards with?
Personally, I would keep the 1060 if you game quite a bit. But the 450W PSU is a bit underpowered for the GTX 970.

Thanks for the reply! That is the list of components that I got for the rig that I'm trying to flip. That's why I included the prices as well. I'm not like a hardcore gamer or anything, I ocassionally play more demanding titles like The Witcher 3, Metro Last Light, AC Origins etc. I do game quite a lot but usually I don't play very demanding games. Btw what would you pay for the pc that I'm flipping (the one with the components I've listed), considering that I'm going to throw in a cheap case but I'm going to spend some money on lighting and a few fans? I don't really know what to advertise the pc for.

It depends on where you're selling it. It doesn't sound like you are US based. But I usually add up my cost in components and start with that. (I'm never looking to make a profit) Then lower the price by 5-10% if it doesn't sell. f you are attempting to sell at a profit... well, good luck.

Thanks for the info, really appreciate it!
