hello guys i wanted to buy a graphics card for my pc after many researches and keeping my budget in mind i chose the nvidia gt 710 gddr5 with fan(i know no one of you will recommend it but i have a dell optiplex 960 slim case and only it will fit in it and others higher models will bottelneck) but iam confuse about from which comapny should i buy i got 2 options that are geforce and msi.(msi looks sleek and sturdy i really wanted to buy it) just want your opinion (i have pcie x16) https://www.amazon.in/gp/product/B071L9QT35/ref=ox_sc_act_title_1?ie=UTF8&psc=1&smid=A1B54NS2I1754W(geforce) https://www.amazon.in/gp/product/B07353Q3M7/ref=ox_sc_act_title_2?ie=UTF8&psc=1&smid=A1URIEFJ9EJHTB(msi)
i just want it for normal gaming not the high graphics demanding modern gaming.

I think even 1030 would work, some reported also 750ti in there.

Is this your pc? Or link it to dells website.
Im not very familoar with dells or hp.
But after you link your product onto dells page im pretty sure that I can say which cpu can you and ram to upgrade.
There was mentioning that your motherboard has jumper which recognizes between aluminium and copper heatsink.

As far as Ive read Q9650, but Q6600, or even Q8400 ( i tend towards Q8400).
Also I cannnot see, but hoe many ram slots do you have?
If 2 you can probably max out at 4GB's, dont mix ram 1+3 or 4+2 alwqys matching pair, 2+2, unless you can set timings manually, up to 1030 , 750ti, 7850 will work without issue at all.

Before concluding and buying wait for others to answer as well since as I said , Im not familiar with dell. Im not that old for being sir.
